GOAL: $5 MILLION
FUNDS RAISED TO DATE: $3 MILLION
DeMatha’s mission has always been to serve students of differing abilities, interests, and backgrounds from all across the culturally rich and diverse greater Washington Metropolitan region. The school’s history is replete with stories of families sacrificing so that their sons would gain a DeMatha education. That same desire for an education founded in relationships, conducted with humility, and emphasizing freedom and gospel justice, exists in our families today who sacrifice for their sons.
The reality is for many families is that no amount of sacrifice will bring a DeMatha education within reach. Annually, approximately 70% of DeMatha students receive $1.3 million in merit scholarships and financial aid. Even with the generous financial aid packages offered, each year a number of qualified young men and their families determine that they cannot afford to attend DeMatha. Our campaign goals for financial aid are twofold:
– to address the current needs for financial aid by increasing support of funds to bolster our current enrollment, and
– to strengthen our permanent financial aid funds, to ensure that DeMatha has the capacity to support our families in perpetuity.
